Giant Oil is a medium-sized jobber that owns gas stations and convenience stores across several states. Position: Store Associate 906 Location: New Stanton, PA Job Id: 267-906 # of Openings: 4 As a Store Associate, you will be responsible for offering fast and friendly customer service in our gas station. The Store Associate is responsible for performing all cashiering, stocking, cleaning and customer service duties that focus on providing an exceptional customer experience. Responsibilities Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent customer service Assess customers needs and provide assistance and information on product features Welcome customers to the store and answer their queries Maintain assigned areas in‑stock and in presentable condition Actively seek out customers in store Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options Perform housekeeping duties, as assigned and assist in maintaining a clean and inviting store appearance. Process POS (point of sale) purchases Assist in ensuring that all pumps, equipment, signs and facilities are functioning and look good. Work in the walk‑in cooler Maintain a safe work environment Adhere to tobacco and alcohol sales regulations Cross sell products Handle returns of merchandise Maintain all food service and beverage areas Team up with co‑workers to ensure proper customer service Build rapport with customers and provide a pleasant shopping experience Comply with inventory control procedures Suggest ways to improve sales (e.g. planning marketing activities, changing the store’s design) Skills Proven work experience as a Retail Store associate, Sales representative or similar role Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices Proficiency in English Basic Math skills Ability to stand on your feet for long periods of time Ability to lift and stock cases that can weigh up to 50 pounds Working knowledge of customer and market dynamics and requirements Familiarity with inventory procedures Solid communication and interpersonal skills A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner Ability to understand and comply with company policies and procedures relating to the safe and proper handling of convenience store and petroleum products #J-18808-Ljbffr Giant Oil, Inc.
