As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Watch in Oakland, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic utilities location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support daily site operations while reflecting our agile, reliable, and innovative approach, a caring culture that puts people first, and a commitment to teamwork and integrity.

- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or local responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, check credentials and/or visitor information, and report policy violations, maintenance concerns, or security-related issues according to site guidelines.
- Support utility operations by maintaining a visible presence, providing directions and assistance, and reporting hazards, outages, or suspicious behavior through proper channels.
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
