Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Clinic ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Gun Barrel City, Texas.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: ED - Emergency Department\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/05/2026\n Duration: 8 weeks\n 48 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, nights\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Nights, 4x12hrs\n Hours: 48 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 5, 2026\n Length: 8 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift assignment requiring TX or compact RN license and prior travel experience.Details\n \n General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric patients\n Non-trauma Emergency Department in a community hospital setting\n Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:00\n 36 or 48 hour weekly options available\n Patient ratio of 1:3\n Epic charting system used\n Requirements\n \n Active TX RN license or compact license required in hand at time of consideration\n Minimum 2 years of RN experience required\n Prior travel nursing experience required\n Community hospital experience required\n Required certifications: ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS\n Epic charting experience required\n Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and central line care/management\n Experience starting and maintaining IVs\n Experience caring for ventilated respiratory patients\n Experience with continuous IV sedation and IV vasopressors preferred\n Experience with procedural sedation administration/monitoring\n Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias\n Orthopedic and neurological patient care experience\n Previous charge experience preferred\n Additional Information\n \n Care for patients in STEMI and stroke certified facility settings\n Pediatric, head injury, near drowning, ortho trauma, and spinal cord injury case experience preferred\n Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted\n Not eligible for consideration if residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties\n Former staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler\n All requested time off must be listed at time of consideration\n No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation\n Travel pairs or groups are not accepted\n First-time travelers are not being considered for this position\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-756426.
