New Tech Global Staffing is currently seeking a Receiving Clerk for a client located in Pasadena, TX to join our team. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity . Pay: $17/hour Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours/week from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Summary Responsible for receiving, inspecting, documenting, and organizing incoming shipments to ensure inventory accuracy and timely distribution of materials. The Receiving Clerk will maintain inventory records, verify shipments against purchase orders, and support warehouse operations while ensuring a safe and organized work environment. Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, damage, and quality.
- Verify received materials against purchase orders, packing slips, and shipping documents.
- Accurately enter receiving information into inventory management systems.
- Label, sort, and store materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Report shortages, damaged goods, or discrepancies to the appropriate department.
- Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and operations teams regarding incoming inventory.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, when certified.
- Prepare and distribute receiving documentation as required.
- Ensure materials are properly identified and stored according to company procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Assist with shipping, stocking, and warehouse duties as needed.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in receiving, warehouse, inventory control, or logistics preferred.
- Basic computer skills and experience with inventory management systems.
- Ability to accurately enter and maintain data.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable with a strong work ethic.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
