Make an immediate impact as a Special Education Teacher working in an SDC setting dedicated to supporting students with autism. This full-time, contract opportunity spans from ASAP through the end of the school year and offers you the chance to support young learners in a collaborative school environment near Watsonville, CA. There are two available positions: one focusing on grades 1-3, and the other serving grades 4-6.

In this role, you'll build strong partnerships with students, families, and staff to foster academic, behavioral, and emotional growth. Your expertise and compassion will be invaluable in helping students develop essential skills.

Qualifications:

• Valid California CTC licensure in Moderate to Severe or Extensive Support Needs (ESN)
• Previous experience working with elementary-aged students with autism preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Commitment to individualized instruction and inclusive best practices

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students in SDC classrooms
• Design and deliver engaging, differentiated instruction tailored to diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
• Foster a supportive, positive classroom atmosphere that encourages independence and growth
• Communicate regularly and effectively with families regarding student progress and strategies
• Document student growth, maintain records, and uphold district and state compliance standards

This contract position offers full-time hours (35-37.5 per week) and a competitive pay structure between $45 and $55 per hour, allowing you to focus on making a difference while being compensated for your expertise.
