Finance Director

We are seeking a professional Interim Finance Director to join an excellent team. This is a full time, 3-4 month temporary assignment. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of management level accounting/finance experience in a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead and oversee all finance and accounting operations. Manage and mentor an accounting department. Drive and support the monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Analyze financial results and investigate variances from budget, forecast, and prior periods. Prepare, review, and present financial reports to executive leadership. Communicate professionally and effectively with leadership regarding financial performance, trends, and variances. Pull and review planning files and supporting financial data. Identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for operational and financial improvement. Support fiscal year-end close activities. Assist with year-end reporting and related financial deliverables. Collaborate with accounting leadership to ensure compliance with company policies and financial controls. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Significant progressive finance and accounting leadership experience. Strong background within a manufacturing environment. Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, complex formulas, financial modeling, reporting, and data analysis. Experience leading accounting and finance teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proven experience explaining financial performance, trends, and variances to executive leadership. Experience supporting month-end and year-end close processes. Exceptional professionalism, communication, and executive presence.
