General Diesel Entry Level Diesel Technician – North Charleston, SC – Full Time Entry-level diesel technician with 0-2 years experience. General Diesel is an independently owned diesel repair shop focused on supporting businesses, government agencies, and owner-operators in the greater Charleston, SC market. We primarily work on on-highway and vocational trucks, but also work on emergency vehicles, RVs, and buses. Description We are actively searching for entry-level diesel mechanics who have a desire to learn while working on a variety of makes and models. You'll have an opportunity to learn and grow within the company. We are seeking individuals dedicated to delivering quality and timely service to our customers. We care about our customers' downtime and budgets and are committed to providing them with honest, reliable service. We will also offer a $200 certification bonus for each new ASE certificate obtained. Job Responsibilities Move heavy-duty vehicles into or out of yard, wash bay, and service shop Maintain diesel equipment operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements under the supervision of senior techs Perform repairs of electrical, lubrication, fuel, suspension, brake, and air systems under the training and supervision of senior techs Vehicle fueling and washing Shop cleanup and maintenance tasks Ability to effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks Complete required paperwork and maintain records associated with repairs Work with a high degree of independence and with a high level of productivity Establish and maintain good working relationships with teammates Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Requirements Strong desire to learn and grow in this field Clean driver’s record and reliable transportation Must have own basic hand tools Proficiency in using mobile devices, navigation of mobile applications and email to document repairs and communication, and the ability to learn new platforms Must be able to lift 50lbs Enthusiastic team player Punctual, able to follow instructions, multi-task, and apply initiative Positive attitude, safety consciousness, good instincts, and self-motivation Excellent organizational skills and ability to balance a variety of tasks #J-18808-Ljbffr General Diesel LLC
