Job Description

Step into the vibrant world of education as a Paraprofessional supporting EC classrooms for the 2026-2027 school year near Shelby, NC. Help students reach their full potential in a contract role that gives you the chance to make a daily difference, working closely with teachers and learners alike.

Ideal candidates are dedicated to fostering inclusive learning environments and ready to provide valuable support to Exceptional Children (EC) educators. Your commitment to collaboration, empathy, and adapting to various student needs will set you up for success in this rewarding setting.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

Previous experience as a Paraprofessional or Teacher Assistant, especially in EC or special education environments
Comfort working with students with diverse learning needs and abilities
Ability to follow teacher directions and implement individualized student support plans
Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
Reliable, punctual, and ready to engage positively with staff and students
Must have required credentials for Paraprofessional positions

Key Responsibilities:

Assist EC teachers with lesson activities, classroom management, and individualized instruction
Support students with classroom tasks, social-emotional needs, and accommodations
Help create a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom setting
Supervise students in a variety of settings throughout the school day
Contribute to recordkeeping and documentation as needed by the teaching team
Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages academic and personal growth
