If you love keeping numbers clean, enjoy problem-solving, and know how to turn a "past-due" conversation into a positive customer interaction — we'd love to hear from you.As our Accounts Receivable Specialist, you'll be the backbone of our AR process — from processing daily deposits and reconciling bank transactions to managing account aging and communicating directly with customers about their balances. You'll work closely with teams across our branches and divisions to keep our financial data accurate, current, and running smoothly.This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives on accuracy and organization but also enjoys the people side of the job — friendly outreach, building trust with our customers, and supporting our sales and management team.This is an in-office position. The Accounts Receivable Specialist works on-site at our office in Eliot, ME.RequirementsProcess payments and deposits accurately and on timeMatch daily deposits to bank transactions for accurate reconciliationManage the AR email inbox and respond to customer and internal inquiriesKeep AR data clean, current, and consistent across systemsMonitor AR aging reports and follow up on past-due accountsInvestigate and resolve billing or payment errorsSend payment reminders and account statementsMake friendly, professional outreach calls and emails to customers about their balancesPartner with branch and division teams to resolve billing questionsHelp identify and document process improvementsTake on other tasks and projects as assigned, providing support and ownership where neededWhat You'll BringSuperior organizational skills and strong attention to detailA customer service mindset — positive, empathetic, and professional, even in tough conversationsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsComfort working across multiple accounts and priorities in a fast-paced environmentPrior experience in accounts receivable, billing, collections, or bookkeeping preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); cloud-based accounting or CRM experience a plus (Aspire experience welcomed!)Familiarity with AI toolsStrong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort with outbound customer callsWorking knowledge of basic accounting principles related to AR, reconciliation, and cash applicationPiscataqua Landscaping & Tree Service is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity at our company.
