About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) to join its executive team. The CCO will be responsible for providing strategic leadership in patient safety, clinical services, and care management programs across the acute care and ambulatory environment. This role involves serving as the Chief Clinical Leader for Quality, overseeing a wide range of performance improvement support functions, and ensuring regulatory compliance and risk management. The CCO will also lead the development and implementation of quality, patient safety, and care management strategic plans, and will be the accountable executive for the Institutional Review Board and associated research. Candidates for the CCO position at the company must have a minimum of 5 years' of relevant physician executive administrative experience in a large, complex health system, with a proven track record of improving healthcare quality and safety outcomes. The role requires strong change management skills, the ability to lead through influence, and a collaborative leadership style to drive system integration and standardization. The CCO will be expected to have a personal presence characterized by honesty, integrity, and caring, and the ability to inspire and motivate others. A medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification is required, and an advanced degree in a related field is preferred. The successful candidate will be adept at balancing regional and system priorities, and must be willing to travel as needed.
