Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for thetimelyretrieval of individual records upon request Monitors the collection, processing, maintenance, storage, andappropriate accessto and usage of patient and clinicalrecords Assistsasrequiredwith pre-operative and post-operativevisits Provides assistance toRN with opening and closingduties Prepares instruments, equipment, and operatingroom Charting; prepares surgery notes and progressnotes LPN/LVN to provide support for physician during procedure asnecessary Cleans and sterilizes operating room andinstruments Explains treatment procedures, medications and physician's instructions to patients and caregiver(s) Schedule follow-up appointments Maintainappropriate medicalsupply Required Skills and Abilities: Must have valid and current State LVN/LPN License Must be ACLS certified within90 daysof hire andmaintainedannually Sound clinical judgmentregardingwound assessment including s/s of infection, bleeding, proper healing, etc. isessential Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral,diagramor scheduleform Ability towritereports andcorrespondence Ability to problem solve and clarify necessary steps of logic and reasoning in a professionalmanner Must be familiar with MS Office, includingExcel Ability to add, subtract, multiply anddivide Education and Experience: Must be a graduate of an accredited program for LVN/LPN having successfully passed the state licensingtest Physical Requirements: Ability tooperatea motorvehicle Prolonged standing and walking Frequent bending and twisting Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
