Reporting to the ChiefMedicalOfficer, theVPClinical Developmentand Global ProgramLead (GPL)for Lung Cancer willprovide medical leadership and oversight ofthelung cancerdevelopmentprogramand collaborate with the CMOacross theErascaportfolio. Responsibilities will include clinical development strategy,protocol development, registrationalstrategyand execution, KOL and academic site interactions, competitive landscape diligence, presentation of data, andother clinical deliverables.In addition, the VP will be ahands–on drug developer andwillserve as clinical lead and/or medical monitor onindividualstudies. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Providemedical direction and high-quality scientific and clinical knowledge to guide the strategy and execution ofthelung cancerprogramandcontribute to clinical decision making across theErascaportfolio.Participate inbuildingandmaintaininga culture of rigorous data-driven decision making. Lead the clinical developmentsubteamfor all studies in lungcancers. Design and implementnovel and efficientclinical trialstoassessappropriate endpoints. Responsible for leading clinical studysubteams,monitoringoverall study integrity, and review, interpretation,and communication of safety and efficacy data. Provide overall strategy for clinical aspects of registrational strategies, interactions, and filings. Contribute to global regulatory filings and health authority interactions, including authoring clinical sections for INDs,NDAsand other related documents. Serve asMedicallead on clinical programsand r epresent Clinical Development on program teams. Partner with Drug Safety to assess the safety profile of compounds. Writeor partner in the authoring ofmedical aspects of core study and regulatory documents including clinical research plans, protocols, investigator brochures, clinical studyreportsand regulatory submissions. Contribute to the development and review of scientific publications; author manuscripts and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues and thought leaders to meet publication planobjectives. Present at scientific, medical,and regulatory meetings. Maintaina high levelof clinical and scientificexpertiseby reviewing literature, attending medicalorscientific meetings,and through personalexchangewiththought leaders, investigators,and internal stakeholdersand partners. Participate in due diligence or other business development activities. Hire, develop, and mentor a high functioning team of medical directors and clinical scientists. Establish, develop,andmaintainrelationships acrossErasca, particularly with partners and stakeholders inResearch andDevelopment. Perform all duties in keeping with the Company’s core values,policiesand all applicable regulations. Required Education and Experience: M.D.degreeor equivalent, with subspecialtyfellowshiptraining and board certification or eligibility in Oncology or Oncology/Hematologyrequired.Additionaltraining and clinical practiceexperiencein thoracic oncology preferred. 8-10+ years ofoncologyclinical trial anddrug development experience,including extensive experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.The ideal candidate will bringa combination of clinical practice, academic clinical trials,and industry experience,withbothlarge and small companyexperiencea plus. Experience as the clinical lead on late-stage clinical programs in lung cancer highly preferred. Experience leading or beingclosely involvedinthe clinical aspects of aregulatory filing and direct interaction with health authoritiesrequired. Exposure to early development and the transition from FIH to registrational trials preferred. Extensive knowledge of clinical trialmethodologyand theregulatory and compliance requirements governing clinical trials. Demonstrated ability to collaborate successfully with multiple functions in amatrixedteam environment. Executive leadership skills to educate and influence stakeholders and to add valueinstrategic business planning and decision-making. Effective interpersonal, communication and influencing skills, including excellent writing skills, with the ability to tailor communication style to diverse audiences and situations. Demonstrated ability to achievehigh performancegoals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment; a collaborative team player with a can-do attitude and the ability toidentifyand implement creative solutions to complex problems. Strong learning orientation, curiosity, andcommitment toscience and patients. The anticipated salary range for this position is $390,000 to $435,000 . The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc etera. In addition to base salary, the h ired applicant will be eligible to receive an annual bonus and an equity grant at hire and annually in the form of the option to purchase stock in the future for a specified price.
