DISHWASHER
Claudine Kitchen & Bakeshop is a busy, chef-driven breakfast, lunch and bakery operation committed to excellent food, consistent quality and genuine hospitality. Our Dishwashers are essential to keeping the restaurant clean, safe, organized and ready for service.
WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans and kitchen equipment
• Properly store clean dishes, utensils and equipment
• Maintain clean and organized dishwashing, kitchen and storage areas
• Sweep and mop floors
• Empty trash, recycling and food waste and clean designated containers
• Complete assigned daily and scheduled deep-cleaning tasks
• Restock dishes, utensils and supplies throughout the shift
• Safely use and maintain the dish machine, sinks and cleaning equipment
• Follow all food-safety, sanitation, chemical-handling and workplace-safety procedures
• Assist with basic food preparation using knives and other kitchen tools
• Portion meats, vegetables and other ingredients as assigned
• Prepare bulk food items, such as potato wedges, according to established recipes and instructions
• Communicate equipment, sanitation or supply concerns promptly
• Work closely with kitchen and restaurant team members to support efficient service
• Complete other reasonable duties needed to support restaurant operations

• Valid California Food Handler Card or ability to obtain one within the required timeframe

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Dishwashers must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation, including:

• Stand and walk for up to nine hours during a shift
• Continuously reach and use hands to grasp, carry, wash, handle and store dishes, equipment, food and supplies
• Frequently bend, twist, stoop, squat, crouch and kneel
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Push, pull and move dish racks, trash containers, equipment and supplies
• Occasionally climb or use a step stool to retrieve or store items
• Work safely around hot water, steam, wet floors, cleaning chemicals, knives and commercial kitchen equipment
• See, hear and communicate sufficiently to safely and accurately perform assigned responsibilities
• Understand and follow written and verbal instructions, labels, cleaning schedules and basic recipes
• Maintain attention and organize multiple cleaning and food-preparation priorities
• Inspect dishes, utensils, equipment and work areas for cleanliness and sanitation
• Recognize safety, sanitation, equipment and supply concerns
• Solve routine problems and communicate concerns promptly
• Work efficiently under time pressure and manage frequent interruptions
• Communicate clearly and professionally with leadership and other team members

SCHEDULE
Applicants must be available for the shifts required by restaurant operations. Shifts may include early mornings, afternoons, weekends and holidays.
COMPENSATION
Hourly rate plus applicable tips.
