‭ JOB SUMMARY:‬‭ Dishwashers perform essential functions‬‭ that include but are not limited to washing dishes,‬ cleaning and maintaining kitchen work areas, restaurant equipment and utensils, conducting light food prep,‬ and cooking bulk food items. This is a non-exempt, hourly position. The primary responsibilities and duties are‬ outlined below. These may vary based on the General Manager’s observations and direction. The Company‬ reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.‬
‭ DISHWASHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES‬
‭ A.‬‭ Cleaning and Maintenance - 85% of Time‬
‭ 1.‬‭ Washes dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans by hand or using dishwasher‬
‭ 2.‬‭ Places clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas‬
‭ 3.‬‭ Maintains and cleans kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils‬
‭ 4.‬‭ Sorts and removes trash; places it in designated pickup areas‬
‭ 5.‬‭ Cleans garbage cans‬
‭ 6.‬‭ Sweeps and mops floors‬
‭ 7.‬‭ Performs “Daily Deep Cleaning” according to posted schedule‬
‭ B.‬‭ Service - 15% of Time‬
‭ 1.‬‭ Conduct light prep duties with use of a knife‬
‭ 2.‬‭ Prepare portions of meats and vegetables‬
‭ 3.‬‭ Cook large bulk prep items such as potato wedges‬

‭ Food Handler Certificate‬‭ Required‬
‭ High school diploma‬‭ Preferred‬
‭ Previous restaurant experience‬‭ Preferred‬
‭ PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS‬
‭ The Dishwasher is required to constantly stand during the workday. The Dishwasher is required to use his/her‬ hands to carry, operate equipment and prepare food. Lifting, pushing, pulling and/or moving is frequent.‬ Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral‬ vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus. Specific physical abilities and the degree of frequency‬ are:‬
‭ Ability to stand for up to 9+ hours while working‬‭ (continuous)‬
