Registered Nurse K-12 School Setting

Desired Qualifications

• Current RN license in New York State
• Prior experience in a school, pediatric, or community health setting preferred
• Confidence in assessment, triage, and responding to student health needs
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities
• Ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
• Commitment to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all students

Primary Responsibilities

• Deliver direct care for students with acute and chronic health concerns
• Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation in accordance with school policies
• Promote a healthy, safe school environment through education and preventative care
• Assist with health screenings, immunization compliance, and care plan development
• Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate care as needed
