Electrical Engineer IIAs an Electrical Engineer II you will perform a variety of moderately complex engineering duties to design, plan, and oversee the design and development of electric/electronic devices and systems applied to new or existing products . Evaluates progress and results of projects. Recommends changes in design, procedures or objectives as necessary. You will do this byDesigns and troubleshoots electrical/electronic assemblies and systemsConfirms system's and components' capabilities by designing testing methods; testing propertiesAdheres to new product development processes as it relates to Concept Analysis, Business Case, product development, pre-production and post-launch stepsRecommends methods of manufacturing during the design of new products,design modifications or process changes based on cost/design studiesActs as a liaison between other departments as necessaryRecommends changes in design, procedures or objectives as necessary.Develops engineering test standards where applicablePerforms other duties as assignedQualificationsBachelors Degree in Engineering or related fieldThree years of professional engineering experienceBroad knowledge and use of electrical/electronic control circuits and systemsBroad understanding of electrical/electronic components and their uses in various power systemsKnowledge of appropriate standards and regulationsKnowledge of applicable technologies and/or productsWell-developed communication skills to explain designs and logic usedFluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or locationBriggs & Stratton, headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, provides innovative products and diverse power solutions to help people get work done.
