Do you?Provide palliative nursing care and support to pediatric patients and familiesWHAT YOU WILL DO:Assess physical, psychosocial and spiritual needs of the patient and family.Provide intermittent skilled nursing services to the patient under the patient's physicians' directions.Monitor and evaluate pain and symptoms and provide information and assistance to the patient and family to manage those problems.Serves as liaison to the patient's physician(s) when needed; provide information to the physician based on knowledge relating to the patient's needs.Provide emotional support to the patient and family.Refer and follow up patients and/or family members to other services when appropriate.Provide instruction (health teaching) to the patient and family as related to home care.Maintain and promptly complete all necessary plan and reports related to home care.Participate in care conferences and bereavement meetings.Participate in public relations activities when necessary.Participate in audit review, quality assurance activities and other meetings as assigned.Plan and supervise activities of HHA as related to patient care.SUCCESS CAPABILITIES:Licensed RN or LPN in the State of OhioBS or equivalent experience3-5 Years of experience in Pediatrics, or Hospice with the desire to transfer into PediatricsExperience preferred in pain and symptom management, oncology, public health, mental healthExperience in pediatrics and knowledge regarding normal growth and development, pediatric assessment skills, and pharmacologyMust work a minimum of 40 hours, four days/weekMay at times work 4 days, 10-hour shifts based on department needs and supervisor approval1 evening per week for call coverage and 1 weekend worked per month.Must have valid driver's license, car available, and insurance coverage as required in OhioWorking coverage area may include: Lorain, Cuyahoga, Lake, Ashtabula, Medina, Summit, Geauga, and Portage countiesAll attempts will be made to place PED Nurse in the service areas closer to living residenceDETAILS:Total Rewards Package to include Retirement, Health, Dental, Vision, voluntary benefits and Corporate DiscountsTuition AssistanceExempt roleTechnology PackageProtocols in place for wellbeing during COVID-19CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:Compliance to Annual Flu Shot Policy or ability to provide exemption documentationProvide an active auto insurance policy as a licensed driver in the State of Ohio with the proper level of coverage as directedProvide an active driver's licenseAbility to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.High level of integrity, ethics and professionalism.Reserve Care is an Equal Opportunity Employer - we recognize that diverse teams make the strongest teams, and we encourage people from all backgrounds to apply.
