PM Line Cook

The Marriott Phoenix Chandler Hotel is looking for a dependable and motivated PM Line Cook to join our culinary team! Do you love working with food and taking pride in sending out great-looking, great-tasting dishes? As a PM Line Cook, you will play an important role in our evening operations by preparing and cooking menu items, maintaining your station, and working closely with the culinary team to provide our guests with a great dining experience. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced kitchen, works well with a team, and takes pride in their food and their work.

What You'll Do:

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, standards, and specifications.
• Set up, stock, and maintain your assigned station for evening service.
• Prepare ingredients and complete daily food preparation as needed.
• Ensure food is cooked properly, safely, and consistently.
• Maintain proper portion sizes, presentation, temperature, and quality.
• Work efficiently during busy dinner and evening service.
• Communicate with the Chef and culinary team regarding orders, food quality, and station needs.
• Keep your workstation clean, organized, and properly stocked throughout your shift.
• Properly label, date, store, and rotate food products.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and kitchen safety procedures.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
• Help control food waste through proper preparation, portioning, storage, and product rotation.
• Assist with banquet events and other culinary operations as needed.
• Support fellow culinary team members to ensure a smooth and successful service.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, workstations, and kitchen areas throughout the shift.
• Follow all hotel, Marriott, and departmental policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Chef or culinary leadership.

Experience:

• Previous line cook, restaurant, hotel, or culinary experience preferred.
• Culinary training or education is a plus.
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques preferred.
• Food safety knowledge required.
• ServSafe certification preferred.

Schedule:

This is a full-time PM position with an evening schedule. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required based on business needs.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and continuously.
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and safely handle kitchen equipment and supplies.
