Job Description

Metro's Speech Department continues to grow, and we are looking for a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to work in 2 of our outpatient clinics located in Western Nassau & Eastern Queens. The position is 30 hours per week split 2 days in each clinic. Caseload is mixed and demographics include Aphasia, Dysphagia, Pediatrics, TBI, Voice, Cognitive Communication Disorders, AAC use, etc. Experience with both adults and pediatrics is required.

Metro is looking for a motivated, compassionate, forward-thinking Speech Therapist who excels at assessing patients' strengths and weaknesses and devising creative but effective treatment plans. • Pay salary: $65,000

Qualifications

Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of New York or eligible.

• Evaluates a patient's need for speech therapy and develops an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide appropriate care and treatment to patients based on physician care plan, agency policy and professional standards of care.
• Instructs family members, Home Health Aides, and other caregivers in appropriate speech therapy techniques & HEP
• Mandatory Certifications: First Aid, AED, & CPR Certifications (live course)
