Job Title: Full Time & PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Location: The Springs of Texarkana – Texarkana, TX
Job Type: Full Time & PRN

Overview:
The Springs of Texarkana is seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our therapy team. In this role, you will provide essential speech therapy services to residents in a skilled nursing facility, helping to enhance their quality of life through improved communication and swallowing function.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate residents' speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team

• Provide direct speech therapy services in accordance with physician orders and facility policies

• Document all evaluations, treatments, and resident progress accurately and in a timely manner

• Educate residents, families, and staff on communication and swallowing strategies

• Participate in care planning and team meetings as needed

Requirements:

• Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the state of Arkansas

• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred

• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or geriatric setting preferred

• Strong knowledge of evaluation and treatment techniques for communication and swallowing disorders

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills

• Familiarity with documentation systems (NetHealth experience a plus)
