Class A OTR Team Driver

Location: King & Pierce County, WA
Compensation: $0.65–$0.75 per mile DOE (Approximately 18,000 miles per month)
Employment Type: Direct Hire

Position Overview

TruFit Staffing is seeking reliable and motivated Class A CDL OTR Team Drivers for a direct-hire opportunity. This position involves dedicated routes originating throughout King and Pierce County and traveling to destinations across the western United States.

Drivers will operate automatic dry van trucks equipped with sleeper cabs. This is a team-driving position, with two drivers assigned to each truck. While one driver operates the vehicle, the other driver has the opportunity to rest in the sleeper cab.

This is a great opportunity for both experienced drivers and recent CDL graduates looking to build their driving careers.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate an automatic Class A dry van truck on dedicated OTR routes.
• Work as part of a two-person driving team.
• Transport freight between King and Pierce County and designated out-of-state locations.
• Complete scheduled pickups and deliveries.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain accurate DOT-required logs and documentation.
• Follow all federal, state, and company safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members.
• Ensure freight is transported safely and efficiently.

Position Details

• Automatic dry van trucks with sleeper cabs.
• No-touch freight.
• Drivers are responsible for pickups and deliveries only.
• Dedicated team-driving routes.
• Typically home 1–2 days per week.
• Schedule and route details will be discussed during the interview process.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Recent CDL graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Current DOT Medical Certificate.
• Ability to pass a DOT-required urinalysis drug screen.
• Ability to meet all applicable DOT requirements.
• Strong commitment to safety and reliability.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a two-person driving team.
• Must be comfortable with extended periods of over-the-road travel.
