About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Department (ED) / Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Float Pool for a 13-week contract position in Kealakekua, Hawaii. This role requires recent experience in both Emergency Department and ICU nursing and the flexibility to support multiple acute-care units based on patient and staffing needs.

The RN will provide care to emergency and critically ill patients while participating in rapid response and Code Blue activities and supporting other nursing units as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit patients.

• Assess and monitor acutely and critically ill patients, administer medications and treatments, and respond to changes in clinical condition.

• Float to other nursing units to assist with patient care, transport, telemetry monitoring, and departmental support as needed.

• Participate as a member of the Rapid Response and Code Blue teams.

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals while maintaining accurate clinical documentation in Epic.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License Required.

• Minimum 2 Years of Recent Emergency Department and ICU Experience Required; Experience in Both Specialties Is Mandatory.

• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certifications Required.

• Epic EMR Experience Preferred.

• Must Be Flexible to Work 12-Hour Evening/Night Shifts, Holidays, and Float to Other Nursing Units as Needed.

The Float Pool Registered Nurse will provide adaptable, high-quality emergency and critical care nursing across assigned acute-care settings.
