About the Position

Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hours, Days and Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience License: Required Certifications: BLS Certification, COVID Vaccine Required Must-Have: Experience with trauma, robotics (DaVinci), and scrubbing Description: COVID vaccine is required. Unit has 11 operating rooms. Average number of cases per day is between 30 to 40. 2 years of OR experience is required. Trauma experience is required. Experience with robotics, specifically DaVinci, is essential. Scrubbing is required for registered nurses. Charge Nurse and Manager are present in the unit. Experience with Epic charting system is required. Shifts include 3/12s, with flexibility between days and nights. Weekend shifts are required. There is a mandatory call schedule of 2-3 calls within a 6-week schedule. Call response time is 20 minutes for trauma cases and 30 minutes for non-trauma. Floating to other areas may be required. Specific dress code is provided. Unit and department-specific orientation is included. The hospital has a cancellation policy that allows for up to 4 shifts to be canceled per 13-week assignment.
