And you can rest assured that your wellbeing and prosperity are our priority.Get to know us: About - Gesa Credit UnionRole Summary:Under the general supervision of the Program Manager/Team Leader, the Business Analyst I collect, and analyses data related to business problems and processes, and assembles functional/non-functional requirements for software systems and improvement initiatives. The incumbent’s primary responsibility is to elicit, analyze, validate, specify, verify, and communicate the real needs of the project stakeholders, including members and end-users, and serves as the conduit for the processes and requirements that flow between the member community and the business units responsible for the systems. For enterprise projects, this position will work closely with the assigned Project Manager to ensure requirements are captured before execution and any changes thereafter are managed through the project's Change Management Plan. This position has beginning-to-intermediate job knowledge and has demonstrated the ability to handle moderate responsibilities relevant to the Business Analyst I role.What You Will Be Doing:Elicit, capture, track, and document business processes and requirements for a given system using best practices by working with the project sponsor and/or product business owner.Elicit processes and requirements from the businessPresent processes and requirements to business owners, project teams, and management and obtain agreement from all decision makers on the strategic and tactical direction of the initiativePerform decomposition of high-level business and user requirements into development and test requirements in collaboration with more-senior BAs or Project ManagersFacilitate systems scoping and requirements sessions, independently, with stakeholders Communicate with the Project Manager (on Enterprise Projects) on scope/requirement changes consistent with the Change Management Plan for the projectManage requirements traceability information and tracking requirements status throughout the projectParticipate in requirements analysis and verification to ensure that requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable, and that they conform to standardsCo-facilitate requirements prioritization with Project Managers and/or more-senior Business AnalystsParticipate in peer reviews and inspections of Business Requirements Documents and DevOps BoardsParticipate in the Analysis and validation of project / maintenance release deliverables against project requirements and visionParticipate in documentation of testing requirements, analyze and prepare testing requirements and documentation needs within the format designated for the projectProcess ImprovementDevelop process improvement procedures to improve operational efficiencyAnalyze current process standards and metrics in order to provide solutions for improvementsPerform data gathering, root cause analysis and performance trending in order to develop appropriate process control changesCoordinate with Subject Matter Experts to develop process improvement reports for setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations and conclusionsPrioritize and implement process change requirements based on the critical project needsDetermine fiscal requirements and personnel resources required for process re-engineering of process changePrepare and manage budgetary requirements for process re-engineeringInform respective teams on process improvement and re-engineering strategiesWork with the team to recommend appropriate changes in process/approachPrepare communication plans regarding process re-engineering for multiple stakeholdersManage projects involving engineering, research, maintenance, and operationsTrain and guide resources as neededUpdate and maintain documentation on process improvements and process performanceAssist with researching and recommending improvements to business processes, organization, and rules that can increase the advantages gained from technical and non-technical solutionsDocument complex multi-system workflows and business processes and pro-actively identify improvements and opportunitiesAnalyze current process standards and metrics in order to provide solutions for improvementsPerform data gathering, root cause analysis and performance trending in order to develop appropriate process control changesWork with the team to recommend appropriate changes in process/approachBuild and grow a network of SMEs across the organizationParticipates in teams established/defined by the PMO/more experienced BAsDemonstrate empathy by understanding the needs of the end user and seeking out problems they may encounterContribute to the improvement of the Business Analysis process on a continuous basisAbout You:A capable independent contributor, as well as a team playerAnalytical, quantitative, and information sourcing skillsKnowledge of software and system development lifecycle (SDLC) preferred.Experience working on Agile Scrum/Kanban teams preferred.Familiarity with Project Management LifecycleAbility to innovate while solving problems.Accountable for resultsAbility to participate on multi-disciplinary teams supporting initiatives for strategic business improvements.Effective Time Management skillsExercise sound judgment when performing duties and working with members and staff.Continuously maintains and develops professional Need:One (1) to four (4) years of Business/Technical Analysis or Technical Project experienceBachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or four (4) years of equivalent experience)Required Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365: Word, Excel, Teams, OneNote, Excel, PowerPointFamiliarity with process flow and engineering diagraming tools, such as Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, etc.Familiarity with Tableau, PowerBI, or comparable analytical/reporting toolsCapable of completing Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA) within two years of hire
