HVAC Quality Control Specialist Temp-to-Hire | Houston, TX Pay: $23.00 to $26.00 per hour (based on experience) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10-hour shifts (40+ hours + overtime) Shift Options: As early as 6:00 AM start or rotating shift (Noon – 10:30 PM) Make an Impact Where Quality Matters Most Openwork is hiring an experienced HVAC Quality Control Specialist to support a respected HVAC manufacturing operation in Houston. This role is critical to ensuring every project meets the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and performance. If you have a strong HVAC background and take pride in doing things right the first time, this is an opportunity to play a key role in maintaining quality across production and operations. Key Responsibilities: Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and change orders for accuracy and completeness. Ensure compliance with company standards, manufacturer guidelines, and applicable codes. Conduct routine quality audits and track corrective actions. Perform walkthroughs to monitor production and identify issues. Partner with internal teams and vendors to resolve quality concerns. Maintain accurate documentation and audit records. Provide feedback and coaching to improve consistency and performance. Support audits and continuous improvement efforts. Qualifications: HVAC systems knowledge and hands‑on experience. Minimum of 2+ years of experience in quality control, quality assurance, or a related role. Strong attention to detail and organization. Ability to interpret technical documents and drawings. Strong communication and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Technical or vocational training is a plus. Minimum of 2+ years of related experience required. Physical Requirements: Ability to work indoors and outdoors.
