Registered Nurse - Intermediate Care Unit (IMC)

Location: Sumter, South Carolina

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shifts: 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30 with every other weekend requirement.

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) to provide high-quality patient care. Ideal candidates will have experience in neuro stepdown and cardiac telemetry nursing, managing a variety of critical patient needs in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to adult patients in a 24-bed IMC unit.
• Perform IV starts, port access, and blood product administration.
• Manage respiratory care including trach management and oxygen delivery.
• Handle gastrointestinal care, including feeding tube management.
• Administer medications, including PCA and procedural sedation.
• Monitor telemetry and manage cardiac drips while interpreting dysrhythmias.
• Participate in rapid response team activities and manage wound care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in an IMC or related unit.
• Active SC or multistate RN license.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• 1 year of experience with EPIC EMR is required.
