Qualified candidates may include: New York-licensed certified nurse-midwives New York-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioners Experienced New York-certified Family Nurse Practitioners with substantial recent outpatient OB/GYN and prenatal-care experience This is an additional clinical-capacity position intended to improve patient access, expand prenatal and gynecologic appointment availability and strengthen continuity of care. The selected clinician will collaborate with the Brooklyn OB/GYN physician, certified nurse-midwife, sonography team, medical assistants and administrative staff. This is a site-anchored Brooklyn position—not a multisite float assignment. The clinician will have a defined recurring schedule and clear responsibility for documentation, results, referrals, patient messages and continuity of care. No routine labor-and-delivery or overnight call is required. Candidates interested in an expanded hospital, delivery or call role may discuss that scope separately. Responsibilities may include: New and established gynecologic visits Annual well-woman examinations Pap and HPV testing STI screening, counseling and treatment Contraception and family-planning counseling Pregnancy-confirmation visits Preconception counseling Routine outpatient prenatal care Prenatal laboratory, genetic-screening and ultrasound review Identification and escalation of higher-risk pregnancy conditions Postpartum examinations and follow-up Evaluation and management of abnormal uterine bleeding Evaluation of menstrual disorders and pelvic pain Management of common vaginal and vulvar conditions Evaluation of common sexual-health concerns Perimenopause and menopause care Initial infertility evaluation and appropriate referral within scope Preventive and bone-health counseling Ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing within scope Patient education and longitudinal follow-up Physician, MFM, emergency or hospital escalation when required Office Procedures Based on verified training, recent competency and credentialing, the clinician may perform approved procedures such as: IUD insertion and removal Contraceptive implant insertion and removal Endometrial biopsy Vulvar biopsy Pessary fitting and management Removal of uncomplicated cervical polyps Incision and drainage of uncomplicated vulvar or Bartholin gland conditions Colposcopy when appropriately trained and credentialed Other approved outpatient procedures Candidates are not required to perform every listed procedure. True Health NY will verify training, recent experience, competency, equipment availability, malpractice coverage and credentialing before independent performance. Prenatal Care and Hospital Coordination The clinician will: Manage routine prenatal care within the clinician’s lawful scope and demonstrated competency. Follow established prenatal-testing and follow-up protocols. Identify findings requiring OB/GYN physician or MFM consultation. Escalate urgent pregnancy concerns promptly. Document significant prenatal risks, pending testing and consultation. Provide complete information to hospital and laborist teams. Review relevant hospital, delivery and discharge records. Provide timely postpartum follow-up. Maintain continuity between outpatient prenatal, hospital and postpartum care. The position does not include independent hospital obstetric management, delivery attendance or labor-and-delivery call unless separately approved and documented. Candidate Qualification Pathways Certified Nurse-Midwife The candidate must have: Active and unrestricted New York midwifery license and registration Graduate education in midwifery or nurse-midwifery Appropriate prescriptive authority DEA registration or eligibility Current BLS certification Payer and malpractice credentialing eligibility Current AMCB certification is strongly preferred. Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner The candidate must have: Active New York RN license and registration Active New York Women’s Health NP certification and registration Applicable national board certification Graduate NP education Appropriate prescriptive authority DEA registration or eligibility Current BLS certification Payer and malpractice credentialing eligibility Experienced Family Nurse Practitioner An FNP may be considered only when the candidate has: Active New York RN license and registration Active New York Family Health NP certification and registration Applicable national board certification At least two years of dedicated recent outpatient OB/GYN or women’s-health experience Meaningful routine prenatal-care experience Verifiable gynecologic and contraception competency Strong recent OB/GYN references Ability to perform the proposed duties lawfully under the candidate’s certification Payer and malpractice approval for the proposed scope General primary-care experience alone is not sufficient. Required Experience At least two years of dedicated outpatient women’s-health, OB/GYN or midwifery experience Meaningful experience providing routine prenatal care Demonstrated ability to recognize and escalation of higher-risk conditions Strong results-management and documentation practices Ability to work consistently at the Brooklyn clinic New graduates are not the primary target for this site-anchor position. Documentation and Follow-Through The clinician will be expected to: Complete charts within established practice timeframes. Review and act on laboratory, imaging, ultrasound and pathology findings promptly. Communicate clinically significant results clearly. Address patient messages and medication requests appropriately. Complete referrals and follow-up orders. Maintain an organized clinical inbox. Close care loops involving abnormal findings and referrals. Ensure appropriate handoff and cross-coverage. Comply with clinical, payer, regulatory and organizational requirements. Compensation and Benefits True Health NY expects to offer an annual base salary of $150,000–$180,000 . The final base salary will depend on licensure, certification, experience, prenatal scope, procedure competency, credentialing readiness, references, schedule and internal equity. The clinician may also qualify for a written quality and productivity incentive after onboarding.
