Position Overview

We are seeking qualified Occupational Therapists for an exciting opportunity in Bradenton, FL. This position will involve providing therapy services across the entire facility, working within a dynamic team-oriented environment.

  • Shift: 08:30 AM - 05:00 PM
  • Contract Duration: 13 or 26 weeks
  • Location: Bradenton, FL
  • Packing Options: Parking garage available for staff use
Facility Information
  • Bed Capacity: 383 acute care beds and 28 bed inpatient rehabilitation facility
  • Average Census: Approximately 240 patients
  • Staffing: 15 Occupational Therapists (full-time, part-time, and PRN)
  • Patient Ratios: 4 patients per therapist per day (IRF) and 8-12 patients per therapist per day (acute care)
  • Equipment: Two therapy gyms, ADL apartment, EMR - Meditech
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct evaluations and create treatment plans for patients
  • Implement therapy interventions and monitor patient progress
  • Facilitate team conferences and provide family training
  • Utilize adaptive devices and equipment as required
Qualifications
  • Required Skills:

    • Active Occupational Therapy license
    • Current BLS certification
    • Weekend flexibility
    • Willingness to work on the inpatient rehabilitation unit
    • Strong critical thinking and clinical reasoning abilities
  • Preferred Experience:

    • Previous hospital or inpatient rehabilitation facility experience
    • Stroke and neuro experience

Job Expectations
  • Minimum of one weekend shift per month; increased weekend availability is highly preferred
  • Travelers will be scheduled according to facility policy, expecting to work every other weekend and holidays as part of the rotation with hospital staff
