Affordable Housing Community Manager AAMCI is a leading property management company dedicated to providing affordable housing solutions and exceptional service to our residents. Multi-family property with 199 units, Project Based Section 8 and Tax Credit located in Knoxville, TN. Full Time - Monday thru Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. Position Overview We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Community Manager with expertise in Yardi Voyager software to oversee the day-to-day operations of our affordable housing properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality service to our residents. Must have experience in Project Based Section 8 and Tax Credit. Responsibilities Manage all aspects of property operations, including leasing, rent collection, maintenance, and resident relations, in accordance with affordable housing regulations and company policies. Utilize Yardi Voyager software to effectively manage property finances, including budgeting, rent roll management, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting. Oversee the leasing process, including marketing vacancies, conducting property tours, screening applicants, and executing lease agreements. Ensure compliance with all applicable affordable housing programs, including Project Based Section 8, and maintain accurate records and documentation. Supervise on-site staff members, including leasing agents, maintenance technicians, and administrative personnel, and provide guidance and support as needed. Foster a positive and inclusive community environment by organizing resident events, addressing resident concerns, and promoting a sense of belonging and pride among residents. Collaborate with vendors and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of maintenance and repair projects, while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience in property management, with a focus on affordable housing communities. Strong proficiency in Yardi Voyager software, including experience with Yardi Affordable Housing. Must be experienced in Project Based Section 8 and Tax Credit. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with residents, staff, and vendors. Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of motivating and developing teams to achieve goals and objectives. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously with attention to detail.
