A rewarding opportunity awaits a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist for a contract placement in a supportive school setting near Elizabeth City, NC. This position covers the full 2020-21 academic year and is open to both Clinical Fellows (CFY) and those with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC). The selected SLP will play a vital role in helping students reach their communication goals while collaborating closely with educators and families.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure and certification for North Carolina, or eligibility to obtain prior to start
- CFY candidates, as well as experienced CCC-SLPs, are encouraged to apply
- Strong organizational and communication skills for effective documentation and family engagement
- Ability to handle a caseload of approximately 50-60 students across various age groups and needs
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
- Deliver therapy sessions in both individual and group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive school climate that fosters student growth
