Job Title: Software Developer, Python & Analytics

Location-Type: Hybrid, New York, NY (3 days onsite per week) Must reside local to NYC currently, relocation will not be considered at this time.

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Contract

Compensation Range: $75-$80/hr W2

Benefits: Eligible for Health, Dental, Vision, and 401K

Job Description:
The client is seeking a hands-on Software Developer with strong Python and SQL expertise to design, build, and own scalable software solutions that support analytics, reporting, automation, and business workflows.

Job Summary
•Design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions using Python and SQL
•Build APIs, services, integrations, and analytics-focused applications supporting business workflows and reporting
•Translate business requirements into well-architected technical solutions, owning projects from requirements through deployment
•Evaluate technical and architectural decisions independently, communicating the rationale clearly to both technical and business stakeholders
•Collaborate with developers, product partners, and cross-functional teams following best practices around version control, testing, CI/CD, reliability, and maintainability
•Contribute to emerging technology initiatives, including AI-enabled applications and automation

Minimum Requirements:
•4-7 years of professional software development or software engineering experience
•Strong hands-on development experience with Python and SQL
•Experience designing and building APIs, services, or integrations
•Experience developing software that supports analytics and data-driven business use cases
•Strong understanding of software architecture, application design, and development best practices
•Demonstrated ability to own software solutions through the full development lifecycle
•Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with both technical and business stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience with analytics, reporting, visualization, or business intelligence applications
•Experience with cloud technologies and modern deployment practices
•Exposure to AI-enabled applications or automation
•Experience contributing to a small, hands-on development team within a large corporate environment
•Financial services background is a plus but not required
