Registered Nurse (RN)The position is within an Emergency Room (ER) and Medical-Surgical unit. Responsibilities include:Performing typical nursing procedures such as IV starts and Foley catheter insertionsCollaborating with the healthcare team for patient careFloating between med/surg, outpatient, and the emergency department as neededEquipment UtilizedEPIC electronic health record systemPhilips central monitor/telemetryLifepak 15Nurse to Patient RatioThe nurse to patient ratio typically averages between 1:2 and 1:3, with a maximum of 1:6, depending on patient census and assignments.Dress CodeNavy scrubs are required.Orientation and TrainingOrientation for traveling nurses is tailored to individual needs and can last up to one week. It includes opportunities to experience both day and night shifts to understand the functioning of each shift.Additional CommentsThe ideal candidate will possess all required certifications and should be able to cover the emergency room as needed.
