Benefits Competitive Pay Paid Time Off (PTO) Holiday Pay Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Retirement Plan - 401K, employees will receive a company contribution up to 5% Tuition Reimbursement Growth and Career Advancement Position Description The Pipe Foreman will be responsible for supervising crews that install wet and dry utilities in a variety of settings including water lines, storm drain and sanitary sewer lines, and dry conduits. A pipe layer/operator will be assigned to a variety of jobs ranging from heavy highway, underground utilities, commercial site work, street improvements, waste water and water projects. Pipe Layer / Operator foreman responsibilities and abilities include but are not limited to the list below. Other duties may be assigned. Read, understand, interpret and enforce safety policies and practices. Examine blueprints to determine dimensions of structure. Lay out floor‑plan/worksite as needed. Determine sequence of activities concerning fabrication, assembly, and erection of structure. Assign workers to tasks. Inspect work performed by subordinates to ensure conformance with specifications. Study production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment. Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules. Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product to increase efficiency of work crew. Analyze and resolve work problems, assist workers in solving work problems, and initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals. Maintain time and production records. Estimate, requisition, and inspect materials. Maintain a general knowledge of equipment used on the job, including basic understanding of equipment limits and designed purposes. Position Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Minimum of 2‑3 years of supervising/crew leadership experience. Minimum of 4‑6 years of experience in pipe laying. Minimum of 4‑6 years of operating large heavy equipment experience in connection with pipe laying. Work safely. Be able to carry 70 lbs. or more – frequent cross body movements such as bending, climbing, twisting, balancing, stooping, etc. Flexible availability to include overtime and weekends.
