Specialist R&D - 1st Shift - Starting at $31.92/hr

Stryker seeks an R&D Specialist to independently manufacture prototype and development components for medical devices. The role involves translating engineering drawings into functional prototypes using precision machining, CNC programming, and problem-solving, working closely with product development engineers.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate engineering drawings and develop manufacturing plans for prototypes
- Program and operate manual and CNC equipment for complex parts
- Develop machining programs using machine-console and CAD/CAM methods
- Partner with Product Development Engineers to execute prototype requests
- Maintain documentation, communicate technical recommendations, and support stakeholders
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years prototype, toolroom, or precision machining experience
- Independent production of prototype components from engineering drawings
- Strong machining knowledge: tooling, speeds, feeds, materials, setup
- Ability to manufacture precision components with tight tolerances
- CNC programming experience with online and offline methods (preferred)
- Problem-solving and collaboration skills with engineering teams (preferred)
Compensation: $31.92 - $44.88 per hour plus bonus eligible
