Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant

Overview Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant position in home care, reporting to a supervising Physical Therapist. This role focuses on treatment, exercise instruction, and patient education to support the patient’s well-being within the plan of care. Primary Responsibilities: Follow all state laws governing the provision of physical therapy in home care; perform only procedures defined by the supervising Physical Therapist; recommend changes to the plan of care to the supervising PT. Instruct and assist patients in active and passive exercise, muscle re-education, gait, functional tasks, activities of daily living (ADL), transfers, safety, and prosthetic training. Observe, record, and report the patient’s response to treatment and changes in condition to the supervising PT, nurse supervisor, and/or physician. Coordinate care with other members of the healthcare team as appropriate. Instruct patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare team members in therapy areas within the scope of the physical therapy assistant. Required Qualifications: Current license, registration, or certification to assist in physical therapy in the state of practice Current CPR certification Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation Ability to function in any home setting regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client Availability to work a weekend rotation Preferred Qualifications: Ability to perform physical tasks required for patient care, including lifting, transferring, and assisting with mobility Compensation and Benefits: Annual Total Cash Target Pay: $52,417 - $78,625 Hourly Pay Range: $25.20 - $37.80 Per Visit Point Pay Range: $30.24 - $45.36 Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401k contribution.
