Details Position is in a Cardiovascular Pediatric ICU (CVPICU) / Cardiac unit at a pediatric hospital Pediatric critical care patient population, including cardiac ICU cases Epic EMR experience required Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30 Floating to different units is a requirement for this position No local candidates — candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility Requirements Active RRT credential required OH state RRT license required; license must be in hand at time of consideration Current BLS and PALS certifications required Minimum 2 years of PICU or CT-PICU experience in a pediatric hospital — this is a hard stop requirement Pediatric cardiac ICU experience preferred Trauma Level I experience preferred Experience with Epic EMR required Proficiency with ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, high-frequency oscillator, and mechanical ventilation weaning Experience with nitric oxide (iNO), HFNC, airway management, intubation assist, extubation, and tracheostomy care Ability to perform ABG interpretation, chest physiotherapy, nebulizer therapy, and pulmonary hygiene Two supervisory references required for consideration (charge nurse references count as only one; at least one reference must be manager/supervisor titled) First-time travelers will be considered for this position Additional Information Provide respiratory therapy services to critically ill pediatric and cardiac ICU patients Responsibilities include medication delivery, aerosol therapy, oxygen therapy, airway suctioning, tracheostomy management, and sputum specimen collection Candidates who have previously worked permanently at this facility must have at least a 2-year gap before being eligible American Traveler Job ID #P-697087.
