Join Our Team as a Physical Therapist Assistant Job Description: - Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients? - Join our dynamic rehabilitation team as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in a vibrant day shift environment! Responsibilities: - Collaborate with a Registered Physical Therapist (RPT) to deliver exceptional physical therapy services tailored to each patient's plan of care. - Provide compassionate treatment to patients under physician prescriptions after thorough evaluations of their needs. - Utilize a variety of physical means including exercise, massage, heat, water, light, and electricity to relieve pain and enhance patient function. - Direct and assist patients with active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, gait and functional training, and activities of daily living, including transfer activities and prosthetic training. - Operate equipment such as ultraviolet and infrared lamps, low voltage generators, diathermy, and ultrasonic machines to support patient recovery. - Observe, document, and communicate patients' reactions to treatment and any changes in their condition back to the RPT. - Educate patients and caregivers on effective self-care techniques and daily activities. - Coordinate with health agencies for the availability of necessary equipment for patient use. - Complete accurate and timely clinical notes and documentation in alignment with agency standards. Education and Licensure Requirements: - Associate's Degree in Physical Therapist Assistance (PTA). - Must be licensed in New Hampshire (NH) and Vermont (VT). - Valid Driver’s License and agency-level auto insurance required.
