About This Role The Registered Nurse in Maternity at Hackensack Meridian Health is responsible for delivering individualized patient care in Labor and Delivery, Mother/Baby, and High Risk Antepartum areas. Highlights Location: Neptune, NJ Facility: Jersey Shore University Medical Center Schedule: Part-time, Night shift What You\'ll Do Deliver nursing practices according to evidence-based research and standards of care. Communicate ongoing patient status and treatment plans with healthcare team members. Administer medications utilizing advanced bar-scanning and documentation technologies. Document patient assessments, plans of care, interventions, and evaluations electronically. Provide patient and family-centered education for health optimization and disease management. Ensure safe transitioning and continuum of care through multi-disciplinary discharging. Care for Labor and Delivery patients. Provide Mother/Baby couplet care. Manage High Risk Antepartum care. Circulate in the Operating Room and provide Newborn Nursery Care. Requirements Education: BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire Experience: 2 years of dedicated circulating experience preferred 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience preferred Licenses & Certifications: Current and valid New Jersey Registered Nurse license required BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire ACLS preferred, must obtain within 6 months NRP preferred, must obtain within 6 months Inpatient Obstetrics and/or External Fetal Monitoring Certification is a plus About Hackensack Meridian Health Hackensack Meridian Health is a leading healthcare provider committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
