Job Summary Travel Physical Therapist (PT) – 13‑week travel assignment in Kingston, New York. Provides clinical services to improve patients’ mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life in hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centers. Required Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in physical therapy Physical therapy experience (new graduates welcome) Other certifications or licenses as required for the position Responsibilities Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history to identify functional limitations and treatment needs. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement physical therapy treatment plans using exercise, manual therapy, and modalities to improve mobility and reduce pain. Operate and maintain specialized physical therapy equipment safely and effectively. Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes accurately. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, proper body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management techniques. Adhere to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards; ensure a safe treatment environment. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development to stay current with best practices. Assist with discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions and continued progress in community or home settings. Perform additional duties within scope of practice as assigned.
