Physician-Psychiatrist Chattanooga, Tennessee Onsite Role
Psychiatrists are an intricate part of the treatment team.
Psychiatrists that are assigned to inpatient units will be serving individuals with severe, persistent mental illnesses.
Units average 22 patients (maximum 28).
The average length of stay for patients is one week.
It is required that patients are seen and documented daily during the first 5 days and every weekday, thereafter.
The psychiatrists are responsible to oversee and supervise the assigned nurse practitioner to the unit.
Other duties may include evaluations for admissions to the hospital.
