RN - PCU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Surgical Stepdown Duration: 26 weeks Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1-year progressive care/step down experience required License: KS or Multistate license Certifications: AHA BLS required Must-Have: No previous hits on licensure ADN or BSN required Must be flexible with orientation dates Description:The Surgical Stepdown unit is a 32-bed unit that cares for patients who have undergone colorectal surgery and other major abdominal surgeries.Common procedures include colectomy, bowel resection, ostomy, and hernia repair.The unit also provides care for urological procedures, orthopedic surgeries, and specialty wound care, including managing surgical drains.The staffing ratio is 1:6.Visible tattoos are permitted as long as they are not offensive or inappropriate for a professional setting.Facial and ear piercings are acceptable if they do not interfere with job duties and maintain a professional appearance.Vaccination requirements include immunity status for Hep B, MMR, and Varicella through titers or proof of vaccination completion.Documentation of TDaP and influenza vaccination or exemption request during flu season is also required.Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to delivering safe and high-quality patient care through clinical expertise and teamwork.This facility fosters a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and teamwork while promoting professional growth and innovation. #J-18808-Ljbffr Cynet HealthStaff
