Ryerson offers a dynamic, quality-focused, environment, ideal for advancing your career and making your mark in the metals industry.As a Quality Coordinator at Ryerson, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the Quality Management System in compliance with ISO standards. This role is responsible for processing, coordinating, and closing customer notifications and mill claims in a timely manner. In addition, this position will act as an environmental health and safety resource.Roles and responsibilities include:Process and close vendor/customer claims and control non-conforming and quarantined materialMaintain full material traceabilityAssist in ensuring all staff are trained on required Quality and Health and safety contentMaintain safety and quality training recordsSupport EHS courses, SWPs, and JHAsManage corrective actions using the 8D appInspect inbound, in-process, and outbound materialConduct internal ISO audits and support compliance and support ISO readiness across all locationsProcess first articles and production part approval process (PPAP) and maintain documentationPromote awareness of customer requirements across the organizationDevelop and deliver quality trainingReport QMS performance and support continuous improvement opportunitiesAssist with incident and accident investigations as necessarySupport rollout of local safety policiesEnsure compliance with EHS legislation and policiesAll other duties as assignedRequirements include:Post secondary education in engineering or related field is preferred2+ years' experience in quality assurance preferredMetals industry experience is requiredMust be proficient in reading drawingsTraining in ISO concepts preferredFamiliarity with LEAN and quality principles preferredExcellent computer skills and familiar with Microsoft Office applicationsExperience with SAP is an assetStrong interpersonal skillsMust be able to work independently and as part of a groupBilingual in French and English is an assetDetail orientedRyerson Canada is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
