Absentee Specialist The Absentee Specialist will support election operations by assisting with the processing, review, and management of absentee ballot applications and related election materials. This position requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to follow established election procedures and guidelines. The Absentee Specialist will work closely with election staff to ensure absentee voting processes are completed efficiently and accurately. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Review and process absentee ballot applications in accordance with election policies and procedures. Verify voter information and ensure required documentation is complete and accurate. Assist with preparing, organizing, and maintaining absentee voting records and files. Enter and update voter information into election management systems and databases. Respond to questions regarding absentee voting procedures while providing professional customer service. Assist with ballot preparation, mailing, tracking, and reconciliation processes. Maintain confidentiality of voter information and election-related materials. Identify discrepancies or missing information and escalate issues to appropriate election staff. Perform data entry, filing, scanning, and administrative support duties as needed. Follow all election security protocols and maintain compliance with local, state, and federal election requirements. Assist with other election-related duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Previous administrative, data entry, customer service, or election experience preferred. Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks. Proficient computer skills, including data entry and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be dependable, punctual, and able to meet deadlines.
