The hospital is home to the Heart Institute of Florida, which has delivered advanced cardiovascular care to the region for decades.Hospital highlights include:· Comprehensive cardiovascular services, including diagnostic and interventional cardiology and electrophysiology.· Two state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization laboratories· On-site cardiac surgery services· Dedicated Coronary Care Unit (CCU) with experienced nursing staff and advanced practice provider support.· A respected multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, and cardiothoracic surgeons, supported by engaged hospital leadership and strong clinical infrastructure.Florida Medical Center is committed to improving patient outcomes through coordinated, high-quality care and continuous program development.Key Responsibilities· Provide high-quality outpatient and inpatient cardiovascular care.· Perform a full range of interventional cardiology procedures.· Participating in STEMI call coverage (1:4 rotation)· Collaborate closely with cardiology, electrophysiology, and cardiothoracic surgery teams.· Participate in education, training, and cardiovascular program development.· Contribute to patient safety, quality improvement, and clinical outcomes initiatives.· Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nursing staff, and allied health professionals, such as cardiology, electrophysiology, and cardiothoracic surgery teams, to develop and implement individualized treatment plans; participate in case reviews, care planning meetings, and other collaborative decision-making.· Ensure accurate documentation and maintenance of medical records in compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.· Participate in quality improvement, peer review, and continuing medical education (CME) activities.· Support or engage in clinical research, protocol development, and teaching initiatives, if applicable.· Comply with hospital bylaws, departmental policies, and professional practice regulations.· Performs other duties as requested.Qualifications & Skills· Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.· Board-Eligible or Board-Certified in Interventional Cardiology.· Completion of an accredited residency program in Internal Medicine.· Additional fellowship training and board certification/eligibility in Interventional Cardiology required.· Active and valid medical license in the State of Florida.· Current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association, CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross, each certification within 120 days of hire.· Florida DEA registration upon hire.· Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-based environment.· Strong commitment to patient-centered, high-quality care· Recent graduates and experienced physicians encouraged to apply.· Experience in a high-volume interventional practice preferred.Compensation & Benefits· Top-tier, highly competitive compensation, with experience and qualifications.· STEMI call schedule: 1:4· Comprehensive benefits package, including:o Paid Time Off (PTO)o CME allowanceo Medical, dental, and vision insuranceo Malpractice insurance provided· Supportive leadership with long-term career growth opportunities.Why South Florida / Fort Lauderdale?Fort Lauderdale offers an exceptional quality of life:· Year-round sunshine and warm climate· World-class beaches, boating, and outdoor recreation· Vibrant dining, arts, and cultural scene· No Florida state income tax· Easy access to Miami, Palm Beach, and international airports· Diverse, welcoming communitiesBuild a rewarding cardiovascular career while living where others vacation.Must be able to pass Background and Drug Test screenings.
