Forklift Operator

OVERVIEW

The Warehouse Forklift Operator may be assigned to a variety of tasks and positions within the warehouse operations. Responsible for proper and safe stacking and unstacking of pallet loads of sugar, exercising care to prevent damage to packages or pallets. Responsible for assuring shipment of proper grade and quantity as specified with minimum supervision.      

This position requires continuous heavy labor activities. Assignments may include repetitive hand, arm, and body movements.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

• Forklift driving to load trucks and move pallets as needed in the warehouse

• Hand stack cases of product

• Reworks product as needed including hand palletizing, cutting bags and cases into bins

• Understand and comply with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), GMP’s, and HACCP.

• Inspect finished product, resolve quality issues, and report quality issues to management.

• Keep work area clean and maintain the assigned portion of the master sanitation schedule.

• Communicates all pertinent information between management, co-workers, and between shifts on changes to equipment, production problems or any other related information

• Other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.

• Must be able to perform task wearing all PPE (hard hat, steel toed shoes, safety glasses)

• This position requires the flexibility to work various shifts, days, swing and graveyard, including Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, and overtime, as needed. Weekend shifts may be mandated based on business needs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 2 years warehouse forklift experience required

PAY RATE:

• Hourly Range: $24.07 - $33.90
