Data Analyst - Senior Level

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Analyst - Senior Level in San Antonio, TX. Summary: Our client is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join a team that supports critical Financial Crimes functions, including Fraud, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Claims. This individual will serve as a trusted partner to business stakeholders, helping translate complex business requests into actionable analytics and reporting solutions. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical professional who can work directly with business partners, gather requirements, assess risk-related requests, and deliver meaningful insights through data. Success in this role requires strong technical expertise, critical thinking, excellent communication skills, and experience working within a banking or financial services environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with business stakeholders to gather reporting and analytics requirements
• Assess incoming requests and determine the appropriate analytical approach and solution
• Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, risks, and actionable business insights
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Tableau
• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries across enterprise data environments
• Investigate data quality issues and perform root-cause analysis
• Understand and evaluate data flows, database structures, and overall system architecture
• Support Financial Crimes initiatives related to Fraud, AML, and Claims operations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver analytic solutions that align with business objectives
• Provide clear, concise communication of findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience building dashboards, visualizations, and reporting solutions; Ability to present complex findings in a way that business stakeholders can easily understand
• Experience gathering requirements from business partners and translating needs into data-driven solutions
• Advanced SQL development and data analysis skills; Ability to query, analyze, troubleshoot, and validate complex datasets
• Strong understanding of database structures, data flows, and data architecture
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively through email, Slack, meetings, and presentations
