Registered Nurse - MedSurg/Telemetry - Night Shift

Location: Asheville, NC

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with every other weekend required. No call obligations.

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our MedSurg/Telemetry unit. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, quick-turnover environment. This role emphasizes efficient patient throughput from the Emergency Department while ensuring the highest standards of safety and care.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive admission assessments and medication reconciliations for patients admitted from the Emergency Department.
• Initiate acute care orders based on patient assessments.
• Manage a diverse patient population with various diagnoses in a step-down/telemetry setting.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient experience and reduce overall length of stay.
• Provide charge nurse support and assist in unit operations as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years recent MedSurg or Telemetry experience preferred.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• NIHSS certification is preferred.
• Active RN license in the state of North Carolina.
