AP/CP General Surgical Pathologist

A full-time opportunity is available for an AP/CP General Surgical Pathologist to join a well-established pathology services group supporting a high-volume acute care hospital. This role involves a broad scope of anatomic and clinical pathology, including surgical pathology, frozen sections, and clinical interpretations. The position offers a collaborative environment with experienced pathologists and access to a large, integrated healthcare network focused on delivering high-quality diagnostic services and patient outcomes.

Full-time position

Day schedule (case-based workflow)

Approximate case volume: ~13 cases per day

Perform and interpret surgical pathology cases, including general and breast pathology

Conduct intraoperative consultations and frozen section analysis

Provide clinical pathology interpretations and diagnostic support

Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams to support patient care decisions

Participate in case review, quality assurance, and diagnostic accuracy initiatives

Maintain accurate and timely pathology reporting and documentation

Contribute to a collaborative team environment with other pathologists and clinical staff

MD or DO from an accredited medical school

Board Certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP)

Subspecialty training preferred

Recent experience performing frozen sections

Proficiency in breast pathology and general surgical pathology

Ability to obtain or maintain an active Texas medical license

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
