Full Charge Bookkeeper - Baton Rouge

Full-time

$25-28/hr DOE

M-F 8 am - 5 pm

Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing agency, is currently hiring a Full Charge Bookkeeper for a large, locally owned and operated Market in East Baton Rouge . This client is looking for a highly skilled bookkeeper to oversee all financial operations, holding a BS in Finance and with expert level experience with QuickBooks.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support all areas of financial operations, including AP/AR, reconciling bank statements, payroll, reporting, tax preparation and filing
  • Oversee day-to-day financial transactions and posting process
  • Verify that transactions are recorded correctly
  • Complete and file tax forms
  • Ensure all reports and financial statements are properly entered and maintained
  • Oversee accounts receivable/payable and payroll
Qualifications:
  • Proven bookkeeping experience
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
  • Proven ability to oversee, calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks
  • Proficiency in Excell and in MS Office
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • BS degree in Finance
