Associate Attorney

Overview Armstrong Law, PLLC, is seeking associate attorneys. A signing bonus is offered to candidates admitted to the West Virginia State Bar: a total of $5,000, with $1,500 payable on hire, $1,500 at six months, and $2,000 after 12 months of employment. The position provides exposure to multiple areas of the law and to law in rural communities. The firm practices civil law, criminal law, family law, estate law, and more. The client base consists of real people with real problems the firm strives to solve with hard work and dedication. Remote work is not possible during the first 12 months of employment. Courtroom experience is desired and higher salaries will go to qualified candidates with experience in Family Law and real property transactions. Responsibilities Contribute to cases across diverse areas of practice; support senior attorneys; assist in legal research, drafting, and case preparation in civil, criminal, family, estate law, and related areas as assigned; provide courtroom support where needed. Qualifications Active admission to the West Virginia State Bar. Courtroom experience is preferred. Experience in Family Law and real property transactions is valued. Ability to work in a rural-community setting.
