As a Healthcare Security Officer, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas of a medical setting, helping to maintain a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and communicating with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including building interiors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor and contractor screening in accordance with site-specific requirements, providing directions and support as needed.
• Document incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and promptly, and report concerns to site leadership and/or emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security professional license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
